Joseph (Joe) D. Jackson, Jr., was admitted to the Alabama Bar in 2003. Originally from Mobile, Alabama, Joe attended undergraduate school at the University of South Alabama, where he earned his Bachelor of Arts in 2000, with a major in Criminal Justice and minor in Communication. While at South Alabama he was a member of both the President’s List and Dean’s List and received the Al Romer Memorial Scholarship for Academic Excellence in Criminal Justice. After undergraduate school, Joe attended Cumberland School of Law at Samford University, earning his Juris Doctor in 2003. While in law school, Joe was a member of the Moot Court and Trial Advocacy Boards, winning both moot court and trial competitions. He was also a member of the American Journal of Trial Advocacy. Joe is licensed to practice in all state and federal district courts in Alabama. He is also a member of both the Alabama State Bar and Birmingham Bar Association. Joe has successfully tried both jury and non-jury trials to a conclusion. Joe’s experience also includes appellate advocacy, having successfully briefed and argued cases before the Alabama Supreme Court and 11th Circuit Court of Appeals. Joe’s areas of practice include civil litigation, automobile/trucking accidents, insurance coverage disputes, construction, premises liability, wrongful death, and general liability. Joe is the proud father of two children (Reese and Jack) and in his spare time Joe enjoys spending time with his family.
