Clarence “Chip” Rivers, IV

Clarence “Chip” Rivers, IV has been a partner in the firm since 2004.   He practices civil defense litigation with a focus on commercial transportation and trucking, maritime accidents, construction and industrial accidents, products liability, retail, hospitality, motel and restaurant related matters, including dram shop defense and auto liability.  In addition to Alabama State Courts, Chip is admitted to practice in Alabama’s three Federal District Courts.  Chip was formerly a civil litigation investigator with the law firm of Pittman, Hooks, Marsh, Dutton and Hollis, P.C., and the law firm of David H. Marsh, P.C. and is known for his expertise in accident investigation.  He is a member of the Alabama State Bar, American Bar Association, Alabama Defense Lawyers Association, Birmingham Bar Association and Defense Research Institute.   He attended the University of Florida, Southern Connecticut State University and The Birmingham School of Law.  He is the proud father of four children (Brittany, Miles, Conner and Griffin) and enjoys playing bluegrass guitar in his spare time.
