Andrew N. King
Drew grew up in Vestavia Hills, a community near Birmingham, Alabama. He earned a Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Alabama at Birmingham (honors) and his Juris Doctor from Samford University’s Cumberland School of Law in 2008. He is a member of the Birmingham and Alabama Bar Associations, as well as the State Bar of Florida. He is a practicing member of the U.S. District Courts for the Northern, Middle and Southern Districts of Alabama. Drew focuses his practice on defending companies and individuals in civil lawsuits involving wrongful death, personal injury and property damage. In particular, he often defends contractors, subcontractors, architects & engineers in construction-defect lawsuits in state and federal court throughout Alabama and Florida. He was selected by his peers as a Super Lawyers Rising Star in fields of construction and professional liability defense. Additionally, Drew assists insurance carriers with coverage questions and defends them in actions for breach of contract and bad faith. He frequently speaks at conferences and seminars on topics regarding civil liability and insurance issues. Outside the office, Drew is a member of Redeemer Community Church and volunteers with several non-profit organizations. He and his wife, Stacey, have the privilege of being called mom and dad by two incredibly special young men in Uganda, Eric & Joseph.
